Happy Anniversary to me!

It has been one full year from the day I started this thing. It had been my New Year's Resolution. Wow, this has been one of the few I have actually kept up with. I need one for 2006, I still have ten hours to decide, I better get thinking!

A funny thing happened...my view counter jumped about 1500 views.....does this mean I was somehow featured on blogger? This would be the only reasonable explanation. Wow, I am flattered and embarrassed at the same time. I kind of like knowing that my five loyal friends look at this blog....to think over 1000 people peeked at it?

time to be selfish

lots of crisis, everyone needs help....i am tired, i have empathy fatique, it comes with the job. the only cure is som good ol' fashion selfishness....hair appointment tonight, nails tomorrow morning. Christmas is the busiest time for retailers and social workers, there is irony in there somewhere, i'm sure.

fifteen minutes until the staff party....carols and trivia, wooohooo, NOT. a loud minority of the staff don't like the white elephant gift steal...party poopers, so we are left with carols and trivia. bah humbug!

Merry get everyone presents week

I wonder if my supervisors will notice if I don't get them gifts this year.....
I see the gifts stack up on their desks and feel some indirect peer pressure.

The compromise with myself, a homeade gift...a pie....a pecan pie....I already had the ingredients. I baked them, don't know if they are good....the covers I got for them were crappy and one tilted and leaked on my backseat of my car...a sticky disgusting mess and likely permanent stain. I forget if I tied my hair back when I baked them....imagine there is a long brown hair in it YIKES! What if it is lousy, then I make a worse statement than if I had given nothing. I give up!
